Jeanne,

This is really a bummer that he has required 2 surgeries already.

(7) has trouble with polyps but on an on-and-off basis. And

not so serious at this point.

He does nose spray (Rhinocort 2 times daily). Does Shaelin do that? I

notice the polyps flare up if he goes off the spray for a while and

gets a cold. So we so it daily now. The polyps have decreased in size.

Thinking of you!

Lenora, every single one of my posts to your other e-mail

address, the one without your last name, bounces! Sorry

to take up list time to tell you, but the other one is bouncing

me, too--nothing urgent, just thought you should know!

Love,

I feel for you! My son has had two surgeries - all in the same year

for polyps. Had we known about CF in his birthfamily we might

have had testing earlier.

Two things ... when he gets older you maybe able to rinse out his

sinuses on a daily basis. This will help dislodge irritating mucus

and improve nasal drainage. Second has he been tested for allergies

as well? It may still be too early to test him but allergies may

contribute to the inflamatory response which may encourage the growth

of polyps.

My son has his sinuses vacuumed every month to help prevent another

surgery.

Hi Jeanne,

My daughter is 19 and has had 13 sinus surgeries. The good thing is, its

been 4 years since her last surgery and she doesn't need one now. So maybe

something has changed and she has gotten better sinuses. I don't know why. Just

to let you know there is hope for it. used to have surgery every 6 months

for a while.

love,

M
