Guest guest
Doc, I have told everyone that has been at my house when i'm having an attack to just act normally, as if I am not in pain. Because there is nothing they can do or say to help it, and I don't like them feeling bad because of what I have to go through and they can't help me..unless I ask for my back to be rubbed. Sometimes I will just leave them and go hang over the bed or a kitchen chair. I have found that when i'd go to the ER, waiting for a doctor and my pain medicine to kill the pain, if I lay on my stomach over the hospital bed, feet off the ground and arms hanging towards the ground on the other side of the bed, it seems to ease the pain just a little, but enough for me to take some deep breaths... You might want suggest she try this if she hasn't already.
