Guest guest
Greetings One & All Over a year ago my daughter spent most of the time between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day in the hospital with pancreatitis aggravated by ERCP and stent placement. She recently was referred by her hometown gastro to another expert in a city 5 hours away. This doctor is recommending surgery, specifically a DPPHR (Duodenum preserving pancreas head resection with roux limb) Has anyone had this operation? What are the risks and potential advantages? She is 25 and has been dealing with digestive woes since she was 16.
Guest guest
I had this procedure less then a month ago. They called it the Beger procedure, dont know if it is that is the same thing but does sound so. I dont know what a roux limb is. Look up the Beger it is very well read and see if the two are similiar. I am a far bit older then your daughter and am having some difficulties. I would be happy to share what I have experienced. Guest guest
Hi, I can't offer much advice, but one thing that occurs to me is that if the anesthesia and facility costs are already covered by insurance, then you wouldn't have to pay for them separately if you were just having the cosmetic procedures. Does that make sense? I'm having a hard time explaining myself .... Good luck making your decision! L
