Guest guest
Hi Carol, My husband also was losing his voice, he went to the ENT and was told he had acid reflux. He now takes acifex twice a day and it has help. He never had any other symptoms, so he really didn't believe it was reflux until the medicine was working. Hope this helps Cathy Feda

They can look down your throat real quick. If it continues, please don't wait. Promise me????? See, you'll make me go and worry again LOL hugs

I was on Prevacid and they just changed me to Protonix. They both worked for me. hugs
Guest guest
Hi Carol: YES! It would be a good idea to see an ENT if possible. Please know that losing your voice could be from reflux, allergies, or yes, even RP. I was without a voice for two years due to my RP. At first I would just loose it for a week or two, then get it back for about the same, sometimes three weeks at a time. Then it would be longer without it. It got to where I would lose it for three or four weeks at a time and only get it back for a few days, maybe a week. In Nov. '99, I lost my voice and didn't get it back until Nov. '01! I have had it back now for going on 6 months YEAH!! Take care. Hugs and smiles, Lierman

It was one of my early symptoms, I have slight tracheal narrowing. When I started on metho at the end ofthe metho week I would lose my voice, (well, get croaky) after we added plaquenil into the cocktail it doesn't happen. I haven't lost it for quite some time now, maybe when I am overtired. Take care, and get it checked, love Liz __________________________________________________
