Mike just had a CT Scan done and the doctor said that he had some

swollen Lymph Nodes and that one was significantly larger than it was

before. We are going to take stomach ulcer medicine and Pancreatic

enzymes for 1 month and then see how it looks. He was going to do an

ultra sound and biopsy until he found out that Mike had not been

taking his enzymes. Mike had a distal pancreatectomy and had 70% of

his pancrease removed along with his spleen and a portion of his

stomach. Has anyone else had swollen lymph nodes in that area? What

were the causes? Should we worry about cancer?

Thanks,

Becky

Hi Becky,

Swollen Lymph Nodes could mean an infection or inflamation in certain areas

not necessarily cancer.

By the way I think that not take oral enzymes is not a strong reason enough

for this.

If your're worry about that, please, see another doctor for a second opinion

And yes, cancer spreads using lymph nodes.

The lymph nodes are there, to help our defense system.

All the best for you and Mike,

Liane
