Guest guest
Dear List: I use a pressure cooker alot for stews and gravies, not too much for vegetables because I use a steamer. I use my same recipe but I don't add any illegals. My kids have gotten very used to less thick gravy (I don't add any of the suggested thickeners because the kids like it just fine). If you are at the right stage, after soaking you can use it to make lentils and split pea soup very fast. I used it tonight to tenderize the meat in a curry dish and it worked beautifully. I have an expensive pressure cooker but I have heard they all work pretty well so I don't think you need to spend alot of money. Mine is Kuhn Rikon and it works well.
