Guest guest
Hi Fliss, We've had many discussions re the radiation for CT Scans here in the States, and was told that 1 CT scan is equivalent to 100 times more radiation than an xray..now i think I got that wrong, is probably more than 100. I do remember that it is more radiation from the sun than a person would get naturally flying from LA to Sydney 20 times. A study was done by some researchers at Hopkins. My oncologists originally wanted me to have a CT scan every 3 months to check the growth of my tumours..thank goodness my new oncologist thinks yearly will be good enough. catherine
