Oats would be fine if you could get pure oats, however,the oats grown in

many areas are contaminated with upwards of 5% wheat and rye. The wheat and

rye " volunteers " in the oat fields and gets harvested and processed with the

oats. Here is a link which explains this a bit

Quaker in the US is very concerned about the contamination of oats by

volunteer wheat and is doing research on minimizing this contamination.

It gets very confusing!
