The typically occur a little later, around the three month mark and then things get back to improving. It is possible that is what is happening to your boy. Let us know how he is doing in another few days, jennifer. Carol F. SCD 6 years
Guest guest
Hi , Have you made any changes to the diet lately, any new supplements/meds etc.? Are you preparing any foods differently etc.? If it is just die off then epsom salt baths and/oer activated charcoal may help. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, The only new food we've offered has been macadamia nut butter - we made cookies. He actually had a better day today. I do think he has yeast issues, though. The OAT tests and comprehensive stools analyses were negative for yeast, but he often is inappropriately silly, laughing at nothing. We tried Nystatin, with no results. His doc saw him last week and he was soooo hyper and giggly. I was so happy she saw this because she has been skeptical that yeast could be a problem for him. So, we're starting SCD legal Nizerol next week (as prepared by a compounding pharmacy that is familiar with the diet). Thanks for your input. , Mom of Jack, 5yrs, ASD, SCD 6 weeks > > Hi , > > Have you made any changes to the diet lately, any new > supplements/meds etc.? > Are you preparing any foods differently etc.? > > If it is just die off then epsom salt baths and/oer activated > charcoal may help. > > Sheila, SCD Feb., 2001, UC 22yrs > mom of and > > > Our 5 year old son with ASD has been on the SCD for 6 weeks now. > > We've been very excited about his response - his eye contact has > > improved, his attentiveness has improved, and he generally seems > > happier. Guest guest
, Please consider looking at the fresh carrot juice and garlic yeast remedy that we have stored in the " files " section here at the Yahoo group homepage for this list. One mom I know said it is the BEST yeast remedy she's ever used... better than any Rx anti-fungal she'd tried before. We've seen quite a few kids have yeast rebounding after the Rx treatments.
