Guest guest
Hello again, No, I haven't had a confirmed diagnoses of CP. Dr. Lehman said that I definetly have the celiac disease and that I had very high pressure in the pancreatic duct (which he cut). He was going to aspirate some pancreas juice from the pancreas but decided not to, I guess because he already knew I would be in enough pain after the procedure. I have had attacks of pain for the last 6 years (post gallbladder surgery). ERCP's and Cat scans don't show anything for CP yet. Dr. Lehman wants me to be on the gluten-free diet for about 3-4 months and then call and let him know if I am still having pain. Yes, I am still having pain, mucous in stool, and terribly drained of energy. I also haven't gained back the 5 pounds yet that I lost after the ERCP in March (that lovely post pancreatitis). Dr. Lehman is hoping that the gluten-free diet would help me gain a couple of pounds. We'll see. I find it quite interesting that some people have CP and celiac disease too. I wonder if there could be a connection. I guess I'll take a look around on the web and see what I can find. Here's hoping you find some yummy bread!! Take care
