Guest guest
Well, it's good that you went from 98 to 97 because that's improvement, but 97 percent is still pretty significant. The amount of improvement is likely to go down each month because growth slows down. Personally, I would recommend a helmet at that high of a number. We were told that my daughter's head would round out on it's own and we waited for a year. Because of that, she didn't get started until late. We banded her with a 95 percent and got her down to 92 percent. If you band at a young age, you could get down much further than 92, but if you wait too long, you'll be in the same position that we are. 's head definately looks better than it did when we started, but she still has brachy that is visible from some angles. I will always regret that we didn't get her a helmet during her first year of life. If you choose to continue to reposition, continue with the scans and set some sort of goal and limit for yourself. You don't want to let time get away from you. , mom to , 22 months STARband grad 05/11/09 land Advice for decision on getting Starband helmet My son is six-months-old and has gone for two scans with Orthomerica atCHOA. His CR is 97 (was 98 one month earlier) and we are taking him backin two weeks. He has been spending more time on his tummy during the dayand off his head at night.
