Guest guest
I'm using the capsules, mixed in juice. It's on the legal list and I don't see any illegals in the ingredients. carolfrilegh wrote: >> This product is illegal. Guest guest
I'd say that it is most likely die off. Watch for a couple of days to see what happens. Are you using probiotics or yogurt? Remember that they need to be spaced out a couple of hours from when he gets the antifungals. Guest guest
Thank you so much. I was pretty sure, but wanted to double check to make sure I hadn't done something wrong. robin wrote: > I'd say that it is most likely die off. Watch for a couple of days to see > what happens. Guest guest
Corin, Marilyn et al, I believe that Corin, you were looking under the illegal Kirkman supplement list. It is listed there as illegal. Charlene >> I'm using the capsules, mixed in juice. Guest guest
Yes, it looks like both the powder (contains pau d'arco and sorbitol) and the capsules (pau d'arco) are not SCD legal. You might want to look into one of the anti-yeast enzyme products like Candex, which is legal. Although.... to go back to your original question, the " slimey " , stringy stuff has been reported by other parents as yeast die-off. So, it could be working somewhat, but you just need to know that it's unfortunately not legal on the diet. Patti Should I be concerned, or is this normal? I'm sorry if this is TMI. We started our son on Yeast Aid to deal with some issues he has, on Wednesday night. Since then his BM's are completely slimey. Not solid at all, and the consistency of thick snot. He does have a slight cold, so that could be part of it, but not totally. I'm wondering if this is a common reaction to yeast die-off, or if it could be caused by something else? Thanks for any help you can give me! Corin
Guest guest
At the Pecan Bread website under supplements it is listed under " Legal Kirkman Supplements " If this is not legal then can someone please change that. It's an expensive mistake to make. > > > >
Guest guest
You're right.... it is listed there as legal. I know that Jody made this list up some years ago. It could be that it was legal at the time and they changed the formula, I don't know. No matter what, you need to check every supplement label before you buy and make sure it's legal, because the webmaster at Pecanbread.com can't possibly keep up with every single product as changes are made. I know we discussed this dilemma a few years ago.... whether or not to even HAVE a list of legal/illegal supplements, because this sort of thing was bound to happen. But, parents kept requesting a list. I'll let Mimi know ASAP. Patti Re: Should I be concerned, or is this normal? Guest guest
Corin is correct that the Yeast-Aid capsules are legal under the Legal Kirkman Supplements list. It is the powder that is not. Patti, is that correct or does it need to be changed. Guest guest
As Marilyn (I think) posted yesterday, the Yeast-Aid capsules contain Pau d'Arco, which, she said, was illegal..... I believe it's one of the mucilaginous herbs. That's what I was going by. It could be that they never should have been listed as legal.... OR it could be that they changed the formula later. Patti Re: Should I be concerned, or is this normal? Corin is correct that the Yeast-Aid capsules are legal under the Legal Kirkman Supplements list. It is the powder that is not. Patti, is that correct or does it need to be changed. Charlene Recent Activity a.. 19New Members Visit Your Group
Guest guest
Thank you all for your help amidst the confusion :-D I really do appreciate it. My husband and I have discussed it and believe that it will be a necessary part of his healing (after 3 years of yeast issues) and after spending the money on it, we can't afford to buy another right now. So we will continue doing the SCD as far as food goes, only with the illegal supplement for a few weeks (the benefits outweigh the risks in our situation). It's that, or have him live with lifelong scars on his body from yeast rashes. In the future we'll keep an eye out for another supplement if his yeast issue comes back. Thank you again for your help.
