Guest guest
HI - I'll add my two cents worth to the dialogue on ERCP scheduling. I also go to Dr. Lehman in Indianapolis, Indiana, and travel over 1000 miles, one way from Phoenix, AZ. On my initial visit, the " scheduling desk " knew that he wants a consult and to also schedule the ERCP the next day, in case he wants to do that procedure. Now, I go back every two or three months. I learned the hard way, that even when I am feeling well, and just want to " check in " , I need to also schedule an ERCP for the next day. I didn't do that in March, because I thought everything was going well, but he determined from the CT scans I brought with me that there was stenosis in the panc duct (I had two attacks previously - one in Oct and one in Feb, so I should have known that my duct was closed even though I was feeling well) and he wanted to stent it. It was a Friday, so I couldn't stay until Monday, so I had to fly back in April for the stenting. A costly mistake on my part!
