I've been on the patch for one and a half years now, and just went up to the

75 mg. patch a few months ago. What I have found out is that the patch only

works 48 hours for me, so my PM doctor writes the script for a change every

two days instead of three. Since you've not been on it that long, you might

see if your doctor would consider this first. Stay with the 50 mg. patch, but

only wear it 48 hrs. instead of 72. Try that for a month or so and see if it

doesn't make a big difference. The two day cycle works really well for me. I

only need breakthrough meds (mine is oxycodone 5 mgs.) once every 2-3

days.
