Guest guest
Thanks for responding, .I have ABI Vest,by American Biosystems, Inc.Its the actual machine iself that is malfunctioning. We checked the fuse, but I asked my handy dandy hubbie to refrain from workink on it for feaar that they will not repair it after my back-yard mechanic(lol) tried to fix it.I am aware that they replace the actual vest itself, but what about the actual machine?Do you know if that has a lifetime guarantee itself?I know i saved the darned paperwork, but I've looked high and low; I fear in one of the milllions of moves we've made its been lost. Thanks again for your help. Patty > What vest is it? is it " The Vest " or is it the MedPulse Vest? Either company will hook you up very quickly with a new vest, just contact them right away. They do not charge as they usually have a lifetime guarantee. Guest guest
yes, both parts are guaranteed as far as I know. We have the other vest but when I compared the 2 vests, the coverage was virtually identical. You should just call the company and tell them that it is not working. Keep your hubby's hot little hands away from it though because I think that if you let an unauthorized person work on it it negates the guarantee. Good luck!! My Vest went Kapoot!! > > > Hi to yall!OMG, do I need help with this one.Last night, aafter the > usual 10 min of temper tantrums, Ty started to do his vest, abiut 5 > min into it IT STOPPED!!!I think my medicaid bought it, or maybe > crippled childrens (this was in Michigan before we moved down > here). All I know is it cost $15,000, moneey we would NEVER have to > replace the vest with.Is there someone that will come look at it at > the " 800 " number they give, and if so will I have to pay?I havent > hardly got enough $ to keep our head above water, so to speak, let > alone dish any out for something else.He NEEDS that vest. We've beco e > dependent on it.We've had it for about 4 yrs or so(i really dont > remmber for sure) > Any suggestions?I think Bev is still gone for vacation, :(.OMG, I > dont even know how to do cpt by hand(sorry, i know thats pathetic in > itself, effeectively anyway) > H*E*L*P!!!! > Patty, mom to Tyler,8,wcf and 2lil ones, basking in the sun in > Central Florida! > > > > ------------------------------------------- > The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY > be construed as medical advice. > > PLEASE CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE CHANGING ANY MEDICATIONS OR TREATMENTS. > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
Guest guest
Patty, We got our vest through American Biosystems and this happened to Stephs vest several years ago. They have replaced the actual vest a couple of times and they also replaced the compressor. What they did with us was send us a new one and you put the old one in the container and they send a call tag and have it picked up. Did you say that you have the 800 number for them? If you don't, I do have the phone number. They were very quick to get this done for us.
