Hey

Mine unfortunatly were all silicone...had them for over 24 years and what a mess

finally convincing doctors to remove them. I got my implants because of a birth

defect. Had a double mass having the removed, but was worth it. Besides the

Fibro I have many other health issues. I'm not going to say that my health

problems have been cause by RP. I honestly don't this this is the case so am

standing by the majorty of my health problems due to the silicone. Where RP

comes in is not known...unless the toxic chemical thing.

I only wish after having the implants removed that I would have gotten better,

but this has not been the case. Still I'm a trooper and refuse to give up.

Thanks for the article. I also had implants. Mine were saline, but the

implants themselves were made out of silicone. Unfortunately, I had

reconstructive surgery immediately after mastectomies and that's when the

trouble started. The doctor assured me the implants were safe or I never

would have done it. It was a big mistake. After 8 years of nothing but

trouble I had them removed but I, too, believe the fibro and, perhaps, the RP

are a result of the implants.

Love,
