Guest guest
Much of the fun of trick-or-treating is dressing up, so I don't see this holiday as a problem for us. I'll keep acceptable candies and treats to trade for those he can't have. Christmas will be a little harder for me, mainly because of traditional foods that I can't duplicate. We'll just have to substitute with acceptable foods, but it won't be the same. I will be making GFCF pies, cookies and cakes and other foods so my kids won't feel left out. It's sometimes difficult to get people to give me a list of foods they'll be serving, for some unknown reason, so that I can substitute, but I'll just have to work at it. I think I'll buy several of those divided containers with lids and fix these with their main course and another one with their desserts. Guest guest
Every year I give my son a choice for Halloween. He can either go trick or treating and then trade his candy in for a toy and candy he can have (usually home made) or he can go to Chuck E Cheese instead of trick or treating. Usually he picks Chuck E. Cheese. We still get him dressed up in a costume and he has a blast because there is hardly anyone there and he never misses trick or treating. ===== Phyllis Parmelee Visit my website: THE 100 ACRE WOOD CHILD CARE - My Brand New Website Like my website? Guest guest
Actually, we either eat before we go or bring food with us. The kids never seem too interested in eating because they are too busy playing, so it is enough to eat first and bring a snack with us (GFCF candy). Last year I even saw another family who brought their children and a bunch of friends and a HUGE bag of candy. They let the kids play and before they left they divided the candy up between the kids. THe kids also got to buy toys with all the tickets they won from the games there so they got an added bonus. ===== Phyllis Parmelee Visit my website: THE 100 ACRE WOOD CHILD CARE - My Brand New Website Like my website?
