Guest guest
One more legal or illegal for intro. I always put a tablespoon or two of cream in when I'm making scrambled eggs...the only way I've been able to stomach eggs except in baking...and I am wondering if I can still do this if I use the drops to treat the cream. I'm guessing that I shouldn't do this for intro, but could add the cream back in shortly after intro? Can you guys tell that I'm finally getting myself psyched up to do this diet? No. Cream treated with lactaid drops should not be added shortly after doing the intro. It is for later when substantial improvements have been made. This is because there will be large amounts of galactose and it will stress the liver. When well enough to use it Elaine wrote " to use in the coffee for the adults on the LI listserv, we allowed that - just a bit to whiten the coffee and not more than for one or,at the most, two cups per day. " - so only in small amounts. From http://www.scdiet.org/7archives/scd002_2.html Elaine wrote " ...The person as the book signing must have reported great improvement before I would say she could treat cream with lactaid drop and use a small amount in coffee. " What about using some of the cream from the french cream recipe in BTVC or yogurt made from half and half (which is delicious!)? > Can you guys tell that I'm finally getting myself psyched up to do this diet? Yes, that's fantastic. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 22yrs mom of EMily and
