Hi. You may already know this, but Dr. R used to have the

requirements for approval with Blue Cross of NC listed on his

website. It is probably still there, but you will have to look around

his site to find it. I think that it is something that he or one of

his patients got directly from Blue Cross. It may be of some help to

you. You have REALLY got to read between the lines with these

insurance companies and give them EXACTLY what they want.

We have an HMO version with BCBS. Hopefully you won't have to go through

all this. I think that BCBS of NC has just recently gotten so tough! I

have spoken to several people that have had the MGB in the past year with

BCBS and they all seemed to be approved on the first try. think Barbara at

Dr. R's office said they recently changed some policies regarding WLS.

Wouldn't you know it- since I really need it!!!
