Hi this disease is very tempermental, and there is no set things about it for everyone, that is why it is so hard to treat and or control in some. It turns into a contest of trial and error on what is going to work and what wonn't. Not much help huh? I understand your concern though as I have a son, an only child that I am worried about. He has no complaints but I keep noticing his ears getting VERY red and hot to the touch, so he is taking a trip to my rheumy for a work up. wait till he finds out about this appt.! Prednisone seems to be the base med for treatment and control of RP along with immune suppressants as I said it is trial and error love and hope Angie
