Guest guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Share Posted June 6, 2002 Hi you, I'm hangin tough. Still dealing with the skin problems and sinus stuff but am doing the best I can. Does anybody have problem with every little cut or abrasion getting infected. Just curious because I have that problem. I think my body is one big infection. Guest guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Share Posted June 6, 2002 Sue M, Yes, I tend to get infections really easy. Just a little nick from a knife or shaving and it's infected. I can control it with a million washings of peroxide and neo sporin. LOL Just frustrating. Mentioned it to the doctor because I'm worried about the incision for the surgery. He said they would give me antibiotics before and after and do everything to prevent ANY infection. Sure wish your sinuses would clear up Sue. gosh it seems like forever. I notice I am having more problems with sinus this year. The rheumy said inside my nose was really red. I use the astelin spray in the evening and rhinocort spray in the morning, clears me up, but doesn't stop the sinus pain. I've been off pred for 4 days and my skin lesions are awful...of course they never did heal up even on pred. I have a doctor who does the flare pred. Maybe not a good idea for me. Guest guest Posted June 10, 2002 Report Share Posted June 10, 2002 ok claudia have you tried the nasal washes? all you doi is mix 1 cup of warm water, 1/2 tsp sea salt, and a pinch of baking soda use a baby syringe and lean over the sink put the syringe in one nostril and close the same nostril and squeeze repeat this 3x then blow and repeat with the other nostril.
