Guest guest Posted May 21, 2002 Report Share Posted May 21, 2002 , Before I was diagnosed with RP I had back fusion and I was given blood. I gave my own blood ahead of time, but who knows exactly what they used. I didnt know that we could donate any part of our body. When I asked my Dr. about giving my sister part of my liver he looked at me like I was nuts. Would RP be transmitted to someone that would receive one of our organs? I know everyone is trying to find some kind of link between all of us so maybe one day we will hit on the right one. I have never worked around chemicals but I live right in the middle of refineries and there is a high amount of leukemia patients in our area. I hope you are feeling okay today and trying not to worry yourself too much about your upcoming surgery.
