Do you have reflux disease?

I have had that disease for years due to a tear in my diaphragm

which means that the valve at the entrance to my stomach no longer

works. That allows digestive juices to flow back up my esophagus;

sometimes as far as my mouth. When this happens, the taste is very

sour and acidic (not exactly like any beer I've ever tasted). Also,

reflux is accompanied by a burning pain which goes up through my

chest all the way to my throat. Most often the reflux occurs when I

lie down; particurarly after eating a large meal.

If your symptoms match what I've just listed, perhaps you have the

same problem. There are a couple of diagnostic tests for the

condition so check it out with a doctor. If it is a reflux problem,

there are several medications, such as Prilosec, which are now

available over-the-counter, to reduce stomach acid and therefore

remove the sour taste and burning sensation.

Thankyou for responding and Yes I do have ACIC Refulx disease and I

take 40 MG of Nexium 2 times a day with 20mg of Prilosec 3 times a

day and Its not that though its not that disease though I only have

this taste and feeling once or twice a month.. The Acid reflux thing

i know I have that when ever I eat. It always comes up and seems like

its about to come out but never does. I thought it could be the acid

reflux but it usually happends when I have nothing in my belly. And

its not that often so I dont think its that. Can anyone else tell me

what they think it is. I am having this thing and its annoying and I

was wondering if anyone can help me with this or tell me what they

think it might be and what can I take for this. I can tell you its

only when I dont eat that this happends I burp and feel like im going

to throw up but i burp and it taste like beer and as i mentioned

before I dont drink not allowed to by the wife and I dont allow it

because im not ending up in the hospital for something stupid like

that. Well if anyone can help please do.. thanks..
