Guest guest
Gio, I was able to go back to sleep after my last message to you early this morning, I hope you were able to do the same after taking the compazine, and that you've gotten some much needed rest. In answer to your question about whether this could be another attack coming on..........with the temperature, diarrhea, weight loss, pain, nausea and dehydration, I would have to definitely say that I think this is what's happening!! These are all the symptoms I have when an acute attack is approaching for me. Exactly! If you are still feeling the same way when you wake, I think you should trot on down to the ER as soon as you can. I, too, don't have amylase or lipase elevation any more when I have an attack. During my last hospitalization in October, the hospital doctors were fussing about doing an enzyme test until my GI stepped in and told them to disregard this, that they probably wouldn't show any elevation since I was an end stage pancreatitis patient. He confirmed to them that I was in the midst of an acute attack, no matter what!! They insisted on testing anyway, and as it was, they came back being LOWER than normal. Any experienced pancreatic specialist knows this and should disregard it. I don't know why they even bother doing this test with someone who has years of history with CP. Anyhow, I hope you will use sensibility if you're still symptomatic this morning, and get yourself into the hospital. They are the only ones that can provide the relief you need and get you rehydrated again. Please let us know what your status is, if you can. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
