Guest guest
To all of you who helped me in my quest to get in touch with Dr Sutherlands office and the Angel Flight. My daughter completely rejected going there. And she said she is going to wait until her pancreas is not working at all to have it taken out. She said that the Dr she is going to now told her not to have the surgery that Dr Sutherland performs. I am not really sure I believe that and the Dr she goes to is no specialist on the pancreas. All she does is go there to continue getting her pain medications. I had such high hopes and was willing to do anything I could to get her there, but she has refused, so I have no way of making her do it. I guess she has decided that she will never get better and wont even do it for the sake of the children. Her husband is not forceful in talking to her about having it done, so I have no one to stand behind me and back me up. Would any of you that know please tell what happens whent he pancreas completely quits and what she will go thru in the process? I am so worried and upset over this. Love and Angels on your pillow, Jean
Guest guest
If possible Im 16 yrs old and Im sorry to hear what is going on, maybe if she will talk to me over the phone I can convince her to listen to hear me out. I think hearing it from someone she has known for awhile you begin to believe everything you hear. But maybe hearing it from someone younger she might understand if this is possible please email me private for my number! Guest guest
Jean, when the pancreas quits, it's no guarantee that the pain will stop. Mine is burned out and I still have a lot of pain. Also, your daughter could become a brittle diabetic, which is not easy to deal with. Also, her enzyme levels will be normal or below normal when she has an acute attack, so she might want to have her gastro doctor write a letter stating that she can have acute attacks with below normal or normal enzymes levels as there are a number of doctors out there who don't know this in the ER. Also, she'll definitely need to be taking enzymes to eat with her food as her pancreas will no longer be able to produce any. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
