Guest guest
Hi , Wow, what a drag! Here in California, we have a bad flea problem, especially if you live by the beach. I don't know if this helps, but what we do is spread Borax on the carpet and leave it there for three days ( thats the gestation time for a flea) and it smothers the adult and baby fleas. then we just vaccuum it up. You have to be sure to take the vaccuum bag out and throw it way or else the fleas will come back. It is non-toxic just be careful about lil ones crawling/sitting on the floors. Best of luck to you! e, Mom to KAtie, 10 wcf, Ian 13 nocf and best friend to a NZ native.
Guest guest
Gosh, I really hate the spraying . They do that over here too. We also have sprays in the evening in the summer if your near the water or places where misquotes and other pesky bugs. Also in the citrus tress. I guess they have to do it BUT, it isn't good for those with respiratory conditions. You take care. Can you go visit away for awhile . ?/I do understand that isn't easy with a wee one .Bless you , take care now LOVE & HUGS< GrandmoMBEV Fleas in the house aaaaaaggggg I am so SICK of chemicals. Well get this they have found ONE moth in june and thats ALL. Now we have to suffer 8 aireal sprays. I am away with Liam at 5:00am to avoid the spray for the day, I got o my mothers about 25 km away. I cannot seem to get away from the shit(excuse me) I am so sick of people trying to make us sick with their so called safe chemicals, its just all bull shit. As you can see I am angery, all I want is for my family to be happy and healthy is that to much to ask for. And o the government wont relocate us for the spraying becuase we are 4 Km out of the spray zone, HELLO!!! Spray drift!!!! Dum people. Guest guest
have you tried good old laundry borax to rid your home of pests? Sprinkle it into the carpet liberally and let it sit overnight and vaccummn in the morning. You can do this once a week if any of the fleas survive the first treatment. What happens with the borax is the insects get it on thier feet so to speak and from there they ingest it and quickly dehydrate and die. and then you just run the vac and fleas and borax are gone. Guest guest
This is what we do for fleas. If you have a local agriculture or farm supply store buy a bag of granulated sulfur from them. Sprinkle it around the base of your house including in front of doors. Then work your way out into the yard, scattering it by the handfuls. If you have carpet in your house you can scatter it on the carpet and let it set a bit before you vacuum it up. We fill old socks with it and keep it under some of the furniture. You can also use the sock to dust yourself or the dogs with before going out where the fleas are heavy. That should take care of them for a while. If it rains really heavy you will have to do the yard again. Here in Texas the summers are so dry we only do the yard twice in the summer. If you make sure and sprinkle the sulfur just around the time the fleas begin to hatch out in the spring you can pretty much contain them all summer. We use this method as I am extremely sensitive to insecticides. Passing close enough to them in the store is enough to trigger headaches and nausea. Guest guest
We treat the 4 cats and 1 dog. We live in Florida and have never had a flea problem. We have lived in our house for 15 years and have never treated the inside. Just have the yard sprayed. None of us have ever had a reaction.
