Guest guest
Good Morning everyone!!! Called my Md yesterday about my hernia that popped on Saturday. Wasn't a very pleasant conversation. Was told in no uncertain terms that I need to call Dr. Lehman BEFORE I head to Indianapolis today. Their concerns: ERCP's are known to cause vomiting, and vomiting is VERY bad for hernias, could become strangulated. I was told to go to the pharmacy and get a binder and wear it 24/7 (their exact words). We argued about the different hospitals and where to go. They finally gave me the name of the surgeon at the local hospital. So called Dr. Lehman this am and left a message for him about their concerns. Am waiting for the return call to find out what the plan of action will be. Will they make me get the surgery first? Or remove the stents, then do surgery. I'm all packed and ready to go. Will let you know once the pow wows are done and the decision is made. I want to get Indianapolis over with first. What happens if they do the surgery first and then the stents block up during the early recoup time. BIG TIME throwing up happens when they block. Am already at the 8 week mark, could clog any time now. Is a double edged sword situation. WIll see what they come up with. Love, W
