My son has a nasty cold and cough. He also seems yeasty to me. His tongue is

coated

and he is acting spacey (even for a kid with a cold). Are viruses and yeast

problems

related? If so, what can I do to increase yeast defense while he is sick.

By the way, he has been SCD (this time) for about 6 months. He cannot tolerate

dairy,

so I supplement with Kirkman's Lactobacillus Acidophilus (1 capsule per day).

Should I

be giving him more? He is Five years old, 45 pounds.

Thanks,

-A

Our experience in this area is as you continue to kill of the yeast, there

will be more room for viruses ect. to populate. How long have you been on

SCD? I had to start giving OLE & coconut oil as well as garlic for those

times you talk of. Also, make sure you are using some acidophilus so you are

trading bad microbes for good ones:). I see you are. I have seen rounds of

this same occurence before we had no more GI issues. Do you do nut yogurt

with him. That will also help by getting those extra strains in him. Good

Luck!! Jenn & K
