Guest guest Posted August 3, 2002 Report Share Posted August 3, 2002 I am so lucky, I need to wake my old dog up at 9:00 a.m. to go out...We are on a set schedule. Out a.m., treats at 4:00 p.m. then long walk or run. Then out again around 8:00 p.m. Of course I'm a believer in crating when you have a new puppy or kitten. I always thought it was mean but I learned my lesson when the last dog ate the couch and loveseat. Talking about this I had to laugh because it reminds me of another dog we had. Please remember we lived in the country and that was when we could let them out to run alone. Well, I would call her in and she'd look at me and run in the opposite direction. After awhile it got damn old. So one day she did it again, it was a very hot day and she was gone about 30 minutes....I refused to let her in the house when she got back...not long, maybe 10 minutes.
