Guest guest
, I did have to see the genetic counselor before the procedure. Your doctor is right, you probably will be wasting your time. Actullay, I did most of the talking and our counselor just kept saying " That's right " . I was surprised at how long it took to get the results. The basic results were ready in 6-10 days, but the CF test took much longer. Good luck with the amnio! Colleen Re: Happy news Congrats Coleen, Welcome to the pregnant club! So far it's and myself. I am due in July, I think that is due in May too! Glad to hear that your CVS test results came back with good news. I'll be having an amnio in 5 weeks or so then I'll have to wait a few more weeks to get the results. Did you have to see a genetic councilor before having the CVS test done? My ob/gyn said that even though we could probably tell the councilor more about the genetics of CF then they already know, we have to see them before the amnio. I suppose it is just routine. Mom of 5 with CF and one on the way Happy news Happy Holidays! We have big news are our house - I am pregnant! We are expecting a baby boy at the end of May. Elyse is very excited to have a baby brother. She informed me that she thinks we should name him " Baby Jesus " . Needless to say, I will not be taking her suggestion. I have had a tough time with the pregnancy and we waited almost 4 weeks for our CVS results. Thank goodness, the baby is only a carrier and my complications have ended. I am hoping the second half of my pregnancy is much less eventful. Elyse will be three at the end of next week and she has had a healthy year. We may have to switch CF doctors due to insurance issues, but I am not too concerned right now. I hope everyone has a great holiday. Take care, Colleen Mom to Elyse, almost 3 w/cf and a boy due in May
