Best wishes , Joyce!!!

TRUDY

Meds

Well, I picked up my medicines pre-op medicines today and I just want

you all to know that I just can't wait to drink that wonderful MOM!

Just the thought makes me kringe. But hey, that is " tiny " price to

pay

for the end results. Did I say that right?

My surgery is next Monday and I don't want to eat too much on Sunday.

Everyone says that it is better to eat light so that you don't have

too much to have to get rid of. Any suggestions for the " Last Supper " ?

Dear Joyce, Dr. R told me that soup and salad was a good choice for

the night before surgery. I ended up only having soup because a few

of us went out together, and agreed that was the best thing for our

surgery, so we wouldn't have any problem with our intestines being

distended, so he would bypass the right amount. That may or may not

be correct, but we didn't want to take any chances. That night was

the last time I experienced hunger for over a month. I know

everything will go just fine on Monday.

Remember Dr Rutledge is a great surgeon and he will do his very best

for you on Monday.

There are more than two. You can print the list directly from the

web site or you can e.mail Barbara and ask her to call in your

prescriptions - that is what I did. She also calls in the postop

meds then too! However, do yourself a favor and ask your PCP about

samples of particularly Levaquin (only one tablet needed) and

Prevacid 30 mg (only one tablet needed). The postop Prevacid is only

15 mg. Also, you need one Reglan tablet which they may have also.

WOW!! that is soooo cool!!

I love it!!

I use to take Nortriptiline and I gain 50 lbs on that stuff! I was hungery

ALL the time. I don't feel that way at all now. In fact I have to remind

myself to eat. I don't want to loose to much weight while waiting for my date

that I don't get to dance! ( HAHA like that would ever happen!)

I take Provigil. It's a narcolepsy drug, but it is also used off label to

boost antidepressants when there is sleepiness with the depression.

It has worked well for me. Stopped the need for afternoon naps.
