Guest guest
Kimber, Hey, thanks for checking up on me. I have been missing in action I guess ! Actualy I have been a very busy girl. Still working full time as a RN and by the time I get home at night I am pretty doggone tired. My pain has been tolerable and for that I am very grateful. But of course I have to take my meds around the clock or I get my pain. I get real tired of setting my alarm to wake me up in the middle of the night but if I miss a dose,,, BAM,, ( and not the kinda BAM for Emerald Aggausse either !). This good ole Sphincter of Oddi and I are going to grow old together. Speaking of old, had a birthday last week, hit 49 years young. Next year will be the big one ( again !). But that is OK as my 10 year old is keeping me young and turning gray. What a combo ! I have been having some real dizzy spells here lately and they sent me for a CT of the head. I tried to tell them there was nothing up there but they did not believe me. Unfortunatley something did come back in there, near my ear so they ordered a MRI. Had that done and then my ENT went on vacation for two weeks. So needless to say, I decided I was not going to worry about it till I see him. How do you like that for coping skills. Pretty creative right ? Talked with the other day for a few minutes. She was still sore from her port being put in. Amy was going to buy a used car and the kids go back to school next week. So at least she will get some down time to herself. How is your back coming along after your fall in the hospital ? I know that you were having a rough way to go for a while. I hope that it has gotten somewhat better, that area takes a while to heal . Better go for now. I try to check the message board a couple times a week but have not had time to write much. Since dad died in April I have been checking up on mom every night. She fell and hurt her hip so I am taking her to an ortho next week. ( Gosh, when will things ever slow down ? ). I am just very gratful that I feel well enough to work. So very grateful. When I spoke with the other day we talked about going to Cincy to check on Chrissy when she has her surgery. Hopefully she will read this post and let us know when she is going. I knnow that she is scared but we are saying big prayers for her here in my house. She is such a good egg. Boys coming home from football practice and are hungry. Gotta run, miss you all ! Lily from Ohio Lily, MIA? Hey, has anyone heard from Lily anytime lately? I haven't seen a post from her in a while and I thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has heard from her? Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Lily, Happy Belated Birthday. I had mine in June. I'm now 34. Those dizzy spells don't sound too good. What does ENT stand for? Sorry, it may be a stupid question, but I am always forgetting what these acronyms stand for. I gather it's a doctor of some sort. Let me know what they found regarding your MRI when you find out. I worry about you, lady. Unfortunately, I had a set back with my back. I went to visit a friend of mine over the weekend and I had to use public transportation to get there. I used a luggage cart figuring that would keep my back from getting hurt and still be able to bring things like clothes and my CPAP machine. WRONG. My back and hips did not like even pulling the cart, mainly on the trip home because the bus doesn't run on Sundays, so I have to go to San Francisco via subway and then take the ferry home. Well, there is a decent walk from the subway to the ferry building. My back and hips (bursitis in both hips) did not like that walk. I could barely move the next day and my back is still hurting some and that was almost a month ago. I'm so sorry that your mom fell. I hope the damage isn't too bad to her hip. I'm glad too that you are feeling good enough to work. I wish I still could. I miss it. I hope both you and are able to visit Chrissy. If you do, tell her hello for me too. If she hasn't already, see if Chrissy will give an address to send cards to when she is recovering from her surgery. Hope you continue to do as well as you are now and keep in touch. Try not to wear yourself out. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Note: All advice given is personal opinion, not equal to that of a licensed physician or health care professional.
