Personally Bev I heard this awhile ago and I quit shopping at Target, Oprah

needs to be made aware of this, since she is always supporting them and

telling everyone on her show what a great store it is. It is only worried

about the bottom dollar and sending it back to FRANCE and remember the

FRENCH have been no where for the USA.

No skin off my nose if no one shops at Target, but for the record,

they contribute to our Great Strides every year and employees

volunteer for the event.

I think each Target varies according to the manager, etc. but the

claims about the store as a whole were not true in the article that

started this. I read the whole explanation on the Urban Legends

website.

Everyone should feel free to shop wherever they have personally had

good experiences. That is how we reward our community businesses and

continue to get support for our causes. If your local Target (or Wal

Mart or Joe Shmo's) helps you out, you give them business If they

don't, don't shop there. I don't have a problem about passing along

personal experiences, but this particular article was nonsense. The

fact was that Target did not give these guys the money they asked for

because the organization did not follow the rules and get the right

paperwork turned in.

That's a great way of handling it. i got the one message & passed it as it

had been in a known newspaper & sent to be by someone who I felt knew the

person in story. They do have a corporate policy about the corp. office

gives big to certain groups & they change around every year. i think if your

local one does help. They just decide to do that. I think that is great they

did. Maybe the one she asked was new & afraid to do something like that. Oh,

well they will explain better next time
