She has indicated that would be a last resort for her. I already have hypertension, so I guess Meridia wouldn't be a drug of choice for me. But I definitely need to do SOMEthing to get rid of this weight. With the Meridia, plus the exercise you've been doing, we won't recognize you when we see you. I want YOUR energy and enthusiasm. Guest guest Posted August 7, 2002 Report Share Posted August 7, 2002 Hi My Rheumy has me on Methro...I'm on 15mgs and my pred is down to 7 1/2. Right now I think the dose of Methro is good since it seems to be controling the RP and I'm not having any flares or where my face would turn bright red and get hot. I have a lot of health problems...but I have notice since going on the Methro some symptons are gone so they all could have been part of the RP. My doctor first put me on Imran..think that's how you spell it...but I had a very bad reaction to it. As for the Methro...I'm not having any reactions except I get very tired for a couple of days. Haven't gotten sick and my hair is not falling out. Don't know why your doctor would not put you on it since they or from what I have read it is the drug of choice for the RP. Good luck..Oh..as for that Meridia if that's the drug for people who are heavy...there are some serious side affects from what I have heard... hugs Sharyn ============================================================ From: OneSuperMema@...
