Mimi,

I think Vikki's name is already on the list because she is on staff with Dr.

O'Hara, but I would highly recommend Vikki Kopeliner. You do not have to be a

patient of Dr. O'Hara to consult with Vikki(although we use both of them). She

is an awesome registered dietician who has treated autistic children for the

past ten years, and she is very knowledgable and supportive of scd. Hope this

You asked an important question. In order to help with such

questions,we need a list of DAN doctors who are SCD friendly. I know

about Sidney Baker,Pam Ferro, and O Hara. I hope that list

members will provide us with more names. They do not need to be DAN

doctors. Names of nurses and dieticians are also welcome.

Can you tell me where Vikki Kopeliner and Dr. O'hara are? I would really like

to find SCD friendly doctors in Georgia. Preferrably middle GA.

Dr. Hardy and his wife run hardyhealthcare associates in MA. They both like

what they see in K. I'm not sure if all DAN'S! actually endorse SCD. You'd have

Dr. O'Hara and Vikk are located in Wilton, Connecticut. We were willing to

travel there because of Dr. O'Hara's incredible reputation, but we didn't have

to do that. She made her first trip to Charlotte, North Carlina in July, and

plans to come down at least every six months for a week or so at one time. If

you wanted to use her, it would only be a few hours away instead of a couple of

days worth of driving, and you'd be welcome to stay with us. You could call her

office to see if she has her next trip scheduled. I'd guess it will be in

January. We've done all follow up work after our initial visit in July via

email or phone. Your other possible option would be Dr. Buckley. She is

in ville, Florida. We were also considering her, but to be frank, we

chose Dr. O'Hara in the end because Dr. Buckley's office is really bad about

returning phone calls. I was able to talk on the phone with a few of her

patients, and they all love her. They did tell me that they experience the same

thing with returned calls, and that you just have to be persistent. I know that

Dr. Buckley was setting up an office in Atlanta that she would be working out of

something like one week out of each month. I'm not sure if she is an scd

knowledgeable physician because we weren't scd when I was researching dan

doctors. Like I said, those are two options that I know of, and you'd certainly

we welcome in our home if you are able to see Dr. O'Hara here in Charlotte. Let
