Guest guest
We were told NOT to shave because the helmet is molded with the hair. It also will irritate her head even more. My sons hair hangs out the side and it gets so wet but I do not think shaving is a smart idea. Good luck and hang in there., -6 mths, 5wks. I am a newbie here and really appreciate this resource. My 7 m.o. has been wearing a Hanger helmet for 2 weeks and it is making her head hot and sweaty and she gets a rash all over her scalp. My husband wants to shave her head so that her head would get less sweaty. I really don't want shave off the poor kid's hair! Also, I wonder if the helmet would irritate her skin more if she has no hair on her scalp. Has anyone done this or know whether this is a good or bad idea? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi, I feel my daughter's head has become less irritated as she has gotten more hair during wearing her helmet. I also think the more she has worn it the more her body got used to regulating her temp- we have had it for 6.5 weeks. I think shaving her heard would cause more problems with friction in the helmet. Good Luck, I hope your little one adjusts nicely. My daughter is also 7 months old too! Guest guest
Her head will itch much more when the hair starts growing back. ____________________________________________________________ Click here for free information on nursing degrees, up to $150/hour
