Guest guest
This procedure is not known to me, is this something you had done in Cali? What, specifically, does the drain consist of? How is the intestine modified? And once the pseudocyst has resolved, is there a particular reason why it's left connected? Do they eventually disconnect the drain? One last question, is this a surgical procedure, or what? My interest is entirely personal. One of my pseudocysts, the one that's 6.5 x 4.8 cm, is located quite close to my large intestine. I'd love to see it go away! Perhaps this is something that could be done for mine. If you don't mind writing to me offline, I'd love to know more about the whole procedure and what it entails. Sorry that you are having discomfort as a result. I would think that if the drain were disconnected, that pain might stop. Yet perhaps there's a reason for it to stay connected. I hope you feel better soon. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth hhessgriffeth@... South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. If so, have you had any problems with your intestine i.e. discomfort/pain in the area (left side) where the drain was constructed?
Guest guest
Heidi, My wife and I will find the correct name for the procedure in the next hour or so. Please send me your correct e-mail address so I don't post to the board. Every way I try to write back to what is supposed to be your e-mail it says it's gonna post it. I don't care if it gets posted but, we can maybe be a little more wordy and descriptive that way without lookin' like a total retard to the rest of the group if we don't post !! ;-) Some quick background...I'm 52, have had pancreatitis for about 5 years (diagnosed that is). I've had 2 major surgeries, one for the first cyst and in Feb. of this year I had an attempted whipple....unsuccessful. We'll write back to you shortly Best Wishes, and Gaye
