Guest guest
Sue, You wrote in a few days ago asking others for advice about their enzymes and whether more or less were causing any additional gas and flatulence. I meant to ask you at the time, why was it that your doctor decided that you needed to be taking more enzymes, anyway? Since I switched to Viokase I have noticed an increased problem with excess gas and bloating. I just hadn't remembered your question until tonight when I sat in front of the TV, tooting away. Fortunately no one is here to know...hahaha, except that now you all do!!! Even though no one was here, I still felt funny about it and even apologized to the cats, who were quite startled. This has been accompanied by bloating, too, which is something I hadn't had any problems with for a couple years. I have noticed that if I take four tablets the flatulence in worse than usual, so I am dropping down to 3 tablets to see if that will help some. I had just read in a medical article last week that 30,0000 units lipase were needed to be supplemented to avoid malabsorption, and with 3 Viokase 16, I'm getting 48,000 units of lipase, surely enough. But what has happened or what symptoms have you had that your doctor wanted you to increase your dosage? With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
