Guest guest
Hello Heidi, Thanks for the encouraging words. I was aware that you had had the ketoaciditis episode because you refer back to it from time to time but I don't thin I knew until this evening quite how it had affected you. I'm sorry about your pseudocyst. I know they haven't suggested surgery for it. They mostly resolve themselves, don't they, which is why you must be so disappointed that yours hasn't yet done so. Hopefully, it will still happen before too long. You're absolutely right! There is little point in worrying. Things will take their natural course and worry can only make a situation worse. Good research and info is one thing...but worry is another and NOT a good thing! I'm doing my little best in that respect! I'll be having the C19.9 test as well as the EUS. I had my last CT scan in March. The Prof said the EUS was most useful when there were comparisons to make between tests. I haven't had an EUS before and I stupidly forgot to ask if you could compare EUS results with CT scan results. I'll ask my own Prof when I next see him. Sadly, he goes on holiday for the month of August so I'll have to wait a bit as i'm away myself for a week in July. I'm currently back into researching TP surgery; there are so many differnt ways the operation can be carried out. As I said somewhere else...when the time comes I may have to choose a TP instead of the world cruise as a retirement treat! Good job I'm not that keen on boats but love theatres!!!! If only human beings had a crystal ball that they could use even once in their lives!!! Thanks for your tremendous spirit and kindness, not to mention the information you give; they all keep me going at the hard times! Hope your pain meds regime is still effective and all those family plans going well. I'll be seeing my sons twice this week, first in London on Tuesday when I'm there for a conference and then at the weekend at my younger son's PhD graduation in Cambridge. Can't be bad.....unless that panc flares up! Take care Heidi and thank you again. Fliss (UK)
