Here's a good answer for that question

DR: how long has she had it?

parent: since CONCEPTION!

Silly Dr

Our Cf doc is on vacation for a week so I had to talk to his

substitute. THe guy called me and identified himself as Dr. Shapiro,

the pediatric resident. Here is how our conversation went:

Dr: So, katie has cystic fibrosis?

Me: um, yes.

DR. AND HOW LONG HAS SHE HAD IT?

ME: (after I stopped laughing) Um, gee, I think all of her life!

That poor dr. He was trying really hard to act like a real life

grown up doctor. I bet he will never ask that question to someone

with a chronic illness ever again!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thats what we always say too. Duhhh!!! It's not like you can catch it or

something.

I had a neighbor once who thought that, and her kids could never come over to

our house again. But in the end she was a witch so I was glad we weren't her

friends.
