Guest guest
Welcome Jill, We are to avoid permanently any food that causes anaphylactic reaction. Many parents here have started SCD by avoiding foods that their kids had sensitivities to.... and many have found that they have successfully been able to introduce these foods after some months on SCD and getting some significant gut healing. If the intro chicken soup recipes says carrots and your son is allergic to carrots, obviously you don't include them. You could maybe add butternut squash instead... or green beans. There are quite a few egg and nut free recipes on www.pecanbread.com in the " recipes " section. Patti Need help getting started My son is IGG " allergic " to apples, honey, carrots, celery, eggs, cheese amoung many other things. How can we start this diet? I read an older edition while we are waiting for our copy to arrive and looked at the website and we want to get started right away but aren't sure how to deal with allergic food when most of them are in these recipes. Any help is appreciated! -Jill For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com
Guest guest
Meats, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats. Pears instead of apples, squash instead of carrots, homemade sausage (such as ground turkey with sage and salt made into patties) instead of eggs for breakfast.
