Guest guest
Thank you; well if it IS Italian, that would explain how I got it; my mother's mother was born in Italy and I have a fragment (I know, Rosemary, " showoff! " ) of another Italian mutation AND DELTAF508--THIS IS DEFINITELY CF. If any of you remember my old e-mail address at aol, Mcesana, what that was was " M " for n with my grandmother's maiden name, " Cesana, " added--was I not surprised to find how many there are! Wonder if their families are also Sephardic jews and have cf? I'll shut up now! Love, n Rojas, off to see the elk today! Re:ish Mutations One of JC's mutations (R1162X) is from Italian decent. We thought that one he got from me because of my close Italian heritage. When I got pregnant later (a miscarraige) my OBs office had started testing for cf carriers so I had them test me. Well, I have the other mutation (2789+5G>A), not the Italian one. ????? Angie (Ma to JC, 3yo, wcf) > hi all, > Well we have a weird thing with 's mutations. We are still trying to figure out who's mutation is who's. My hubby is German, English, Polish and Lithuanian and I am Irish and ish. One of 's genes is G115D and it could be either of ours but her other is 1898+1G>A, a Welsh mutation (well at least it is very uncommon in people of any other descent) Go figure! > I guess we will find out when his sister's genetic testing is complete. > >> > >
