I have to confess that today I have joined the

slumpers! Yesterday was one of those days! It was

the usual sort of day to begin with, but at this

timein Riyadh the weather is getting oppressively hot,

with dry hot winds gusting, causing sandstorms.

We went out for afternoon tea in a new restaurant in a

tower, which is a little disconcerting, as it is in a

glass globe, and for people who are not too keen on

heights (like me) can be scarey, but I decided to be

brave. Any way that all went well, tea was delicious,

smoked salmon sandwiches, scones, cream and strawberry

jam, and petits fours.

Went home, then a little later as I was getting

ready for bed, Milla the maltese started choking on a

bit of puppy chow. The other Liz (housekeeper) phoned

the vet and he said bring her straight away, but it is

at least a twenty minute drive, by this time the

sandstorm was in full force, but the driving in Riyadh

is scarey at the best of times, so between the anxiety

about the dog, breathing in the dust and b eing

nervous about the driving I ended up all wheezy and

tight! Anyway by the time we got to the

veterinarian's office the dog was improving so

presumably the biscuit dislodged. Today I feel

exhausted!! Voice is very croaky, so Milla and I are

vegging out together!!!

I am actually perfectly all right, just tired and a

bit wheezey. When I get like this, the girls call me

Wheezey Wizz. You have to laugh sometimes!! Love to

all, Liz
