Guest guest
My son, who is on SCD (3 mos.) and taking LDN (1 mo.) has developed congestion and a cough that is sounding increasingly deeper. I seem to recall people mentioning respiratory issues with SCD at around this point and also some moms mentioning coughs while on LDN. What can I do to make sure it doesn't turn into anything serious? I don't know whether we're dealing with viruses or allergies at this point. We have all been having congestion & drainage, but Jordan was the first with symptoms, so his has had more time to progress. He has not been running fever. He has had increased allergic reaction (pimply cheeks, red ears, sore/red above lip, and behavioral problems) and always seems to do VERY poorly behaviorally when he has these symptoms of congestion & coughing. I do NOT want to give antibiotics if it can be helped at all, but my husband is not feeling comfortable with letting this go on much more. He applied Vick's to his chest tonight and also gave him some nasty OTC cough/congestion medicine with some AWFUL ingredients. If I can get a handle on it myself, I would like to. Any thoughts?
