Hello pre and post MGB-ers, I've been reading posts since beginning

of sept. I hope to have the surgery this fall. I stumbled upon the

MGB site after researching obesity. During early spring, I read all

about the Bariatric meeting and Dr. Rutledges' planned presentation.

I've been thinking about it, praying about it, and talking to my

doctor about it all summer. Now that I've decided to go for it, I

can't think of anything else! I did email 10 of the post-ops listed

under patient contacts and heard back from 8. I'd like to talk by

phone with some post-ops if I can . I have never had typing or

keyboarding so this method of communication is painfully sloooooow

for me. During all my hours of looking at the site I never clicked on

the mailing list heading 'cause I thought that meant I'd get info

from DR. R through the regular mail! Only after deciding to pursue

the surgery did I click on mailing list to " get more info from his

office " . What a wonderful surprise to discover that patients could

actually talk this way! But alas, typing is still a chore for me. It

took me 5 hours to do the online form (and I did it all on paper

first). My teenage daughter finally took pity on me and helped.

Otherwise I might still be at it a week and a half later. Email me

with phone info if someone's interested. I'm a 46 y/o female with two

heathen teenagers who'll probably turn out okay if I'm lucky. HA HA
