Guest guest
Hi, Rof, Newcomer here. Glad you're doing so well! What is Roferon? Is that a European version of Interferon? Or something new I don't know about? Just curious. Regards,

Guest guest
I was on the older combo, which to my understanding is a little more difficult, (if simply for the fact I had to inject 3x wkly instead of once) It can be a little difficult, some people tolerate it better than others. Your body does not want to tolerate the interferon, in the beginning, but it becomes used to it to varying degrees. Most of us have managed to continue to work our regular 40 hour jobs during the treatment. I took a month leave when I first started the treatment. My viral load was over 1,000,000 and I showed mild inflammation of the liver, no fibrosis. I lost 20 lbs over the course of the treatment, due to lack of appetite. My social life discontinued. But it was all worthwhile, the virus has been absent for 3 years. Fatigue is usually the major complaint. The other "flu-like" symptoms come and go during the treatment, but the fatigue was fairly constant. You can help yourself out by taking very seriously the suggestion to DRINK LOTS OF WATER. It helps, I found this out in reverse, because when I was lax in my water consumption I paid for it. I suppose it helps flush any toxins out of your system, but whatever it does, it's for real. -dz-lpalm99 <lpalm99@...> wrote: My doctor recommended me to start hep C treatment. My virus load is just 500,000 and recent liver biopsy showed just some minor changes in my liver. What should I know about pegasys treatment? Is it hard to bear? Guest guest
Hang in there Annita. I was sick the entire 24 weeks, off work and out of it. I go in for my 6 - month - check - up -after TX next Wednesday and haven't felt this good in years! I don't remember much of the time I was on TX. I know I was a sick person. Like having endless flu for 6 months. Next week though, that's what will make it all ok. When they tell me it's undetectable. Peace...SharonC

I am only using the herbs in the core protocol (andrographis, cat's claw, resveratrol and sarsparilla) to treat it at this time. I've had lots of improvement since I started this about 6 months ago (improvement in brain clarity, mood, energy, smell sensitivity, light sensitivity, sleep, etc.). I worked up to the max dosages of 4 caps 4x daily as suggested in the book, stayed at max for two months, and have since been adjusting the amount of caps up and down 3x daily depending on how I'm feeling. Since my blood pressure has gone even lower, I'm being more careful with andrographis and cat's claw (though Buhner says effects of andro would likely level out). I don't know if I will try pharmaceutical antibiotics at any time with the herbals or not. I hesitate to, but I am also curious if this would give me an extra boost and may try it once. I've yet to decide. Ann > > >
Guest guest
Wow Ellen! You don't feel like you have Lyme anymore?! Congrats!!!! I reread the posts you mentioned in Files folder. Some questions, only if you have the time and energy… How long were you symptomatic before you got dxed or tested last May? (Okay, if I read it, I've already forgotten how long you've been on any of the herbals- note: short term memory needs work!) You mentioned two good weeks back in October. Has your improvement held steady since then? If you have the time and energy, would you update us on what you've been doing for treatment?
