Guest guest
A lot of work. But delicious. AND... I made enough of the sauces which freeze very well, so that Harry and I can pull out a package and have some of these dishes ourselves without all the hassles. Can I hire you to come cook for me?? These all sound very gourmet and delicious! Hope you enjoy everything! =) Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 20 mg 1x per day

I make a couple of rough circles of the souffle mixture on parchment and bake them. Then I use the lid of my small frying pan to cut appropriate size circles out of the souffle bread. The other scraps get dried for use as chips. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

But another cool thing, assuming I had the money, would be to outfit an RV as an SCD kitchen, and then travel, giving demos! <g> I'm not sure you can afford my travel expenses! But I bet your parents would be amazed at how delicious SCD food can be! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
I want to come =D Seriously, I'm only an hour away. I understand the oyster texture thing.... I won't eat them either. Sounds like you had a busy week but it definitely sounds worth it. Misty > Sunday, which is Father's Day, I am doing an > oyster / seafood extravaganza, My Dad and Harry > love oysters. Guest guest
But I bet your parents would be amazed at how delicious SCD food can be!I'm sure they would be! Lol they haven't really had exposure to all the varied delicious SCD foods though, since I can't eat everything legal yet. And frankly, the beginners muffins all turn out a little funky, what with it just being egg and some type of fruit or veggie! =P Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 20 mg 1x per day

Guest guest
Oh, phooey. I hope you can just scrape off the burned part! These things do happen, though, to even though of us with extensive baking experience. Yesterday I made DH a regular SAD banana cake. As I put it into the oven, he remarked that he hoped the middle wouldn't fall down like the last one (which I had forgotten). It didn't, but I had and still have no idea why that one fell! I'll bet your dinner will still be exceptional! Well, it's the screwiest dang thing I've ever seen! The sides of the pie crust look burnt. Harry says they taste okay. I'm wary about it -- you know how it goes: it's my Dad's BIRTHDAY, and I want everything to be perfect, especially since his birthday last year was so horrid, with my Mom getting so sick. Anyway, the sides are very dark / burnt looking. The bottom of the pie crust looks normal, the way it should. The filling tastes great. I just have to decide if I'm baking another one, and splitting this one with friends. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
