Guest guest
Dear List: This is a cleaning tip for dirty pots. Whenever you cook anything, especially meats, a quick way to clean the pan or pot is by adding water (at least a cup) to the dirty pan and put back on the fire. Let it get to a boil and then scrap all the stuck on food with a wooden spoon, (I like to use a long edge spatula wood spoon it covers more area when scraping) Everything comes clean and then you just dump the dirty water and rinse the pot. It works with everything no more scrubbing pots to get them clean. I have a hand held blender which I have used for soups but I really prefer my blender for this purpose. I have a vita mix blender which makes wonderfully smooth soups, dressings, smoothies and mayonnaise. It has a dry container for flours but you can only do about a cup at a time if you don't want it to turn into a blender. I hope this helps.
