Hey there..., My name is Peg, My son Brandan who is now 18 had the TP/ICT in Aug 2002, I also met Kerry Beck when I went to the symposium in Indy, last year. I would love to chat with you sometime about the residual pain you experience, and other symptoms. For Brandan this was his second chance. Before surgery there was NO quality of life following surgery although recovery is ever so slow he is still recovering. Brandan is NOT diabetic,(129,000 islets) he eats what and when he wants although we do monitor his sugars he remains normal. He too lives with the residual pain you speak of , but the horrific attacks he once endured are a thing of the past. It will be 2 years since his surgery and if we had the same choice again we certainly would of done it again, but alot sooner! I havent heard from Keri lately but a while back she did post and say she was enjoying her new life! That she was doing great and that life is better than it has been in a very long time. If I can find her email I will send it to you. Please feel free to email me directly with any questions you might have, as sometimes I dont get chance to post often. But I do try to keep up on all the posts and respond when they pertain to me. As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling (cuz sometimes its all one can do!)
