Guest guest
Dan, I'm so sorry that you have RP, but am so glad that you found us. PLEASE, don't believe all that you read about the life expectancy of RP and all the other stuff. Sure RP can cause some serious problems, but it sounds like you caught yours early and sought out help. Are you on any meds for it now.? Usually Prednisone is the first line drug and then they might add methotrexate, Imuran, Plaquenil, Dapsone, Cytoxen, etc. Stress can cause a flare. That is why it is important for us to be stress free. Yeah right. LOL RP is controlable and you will see that once you are on the right combination of meds you will probably life a really normal life. I was put on antibiotics for cellulitus when I had my first ear flare. I didn't fall for it the next time. LOL Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want. We have over 200 people inthe group and they all have tons of information for you. The main thing I think, is to stop a flare ASAP. There can be damage done with each one. Please let us know how you are doing and know that someone is always here for you to get help from. Just keep asking away. hugs claudia
